Heather Vaught, Au.D., FAAA
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Heather Vaught was born and raised in Troy, OH. She attended Wright State University for Design, Technology, and Stage Management for two years before transferring to Ohio State University to finish a BA in Speech and Hearing Science in 2008. Dr. Vaught stayed at OSU for graduate school and completed her Au.D. in 2012. Her capstone project was a proposal to improve the loss-to-follow-up ratio of failed newborn hearing screenings. She completed her clinical fourth year placement at Galion Hospital and had been there full-time since 2012.
Dr. Vaught’s professional interests include diagnostics (especially electrophysiology), hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and aural rehabilitation. She works on weekends at rotating hospitals on the newborn hearing screening team.
Outside of the office, Dr. Vaught lives in Delaware with her husband (an IT professional) and three-year-old son. She enjoys DIY and small construction projects, audio books, podcasts, sewing and playing with her pet rabbit, Cloud.
